  • Mechanic:  The position requires good physical condition, a high school diploma (or equivalent) with training in auto mechanics and the ability to read, understand and apply the information in truck and bus factory manuals. The position requires bus driver’s certification and familiarity with the regulations for bus drivers. Minimum experience of five (5) years as auto mechanic with a minimum of one (1) year experience on repair and maintenance of trucks and/or equipment comparable to school buses.

  • Substitute Bus Drivers:  The Wilmington City School District is currently seeking substitute school bus drivers. Hours: Two possible shifts: 6:00 to 9:15 a.m and 2:15 to 5:15 p.m.  We will provide all required on-site training with a flexible training schedule.

  • Wilmington Success Academy Facilitator (new position): Guide students that are deficient in credits and are at risk of not graduating, in completing online coursework; Coordinate login and course assignments;   Assist students with short and long term goal setting.  Communicate progress with students, staff, and parents.  Provide support in career building and employability skills for students.  Monitor work study credit.  Collaborate with staff, students and parents on accessing resources that will help the student earn credit. See complete description here

  • Alternative School and ISR Monitor (new position): Monitor and support students in a structured environment to complete assigned work; assist students with time management and staying on task; communicate progress with students, staff, and parents. See complete description here
  • Food Service Substitutes:  The Wilmington City School District is currently seeking substitutes in our Food Service Department. Hours are generally 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
